My name is Mariela Hill, and I'm Ecuadorian. Spanish is my first language so when I entered into first grade and had to learn to speak, read, and write English- I was extremely shy and would rarely talk. My parents and teacher didn't know how to break me out of my shell, so they decided to enroll me into theatre and dance classes. As they say, the rest is history!

I got my first lead in the musical, “A Little Princess” at age 9 and have been in over twenty musicals.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Musical Theatre and a Master's in Elementary Education I moved to Washington, DC and taught early childhood/ elementary school for six years. I wanted to make an impact in the lives of children the way my teachers had for me, and expose my students to as many wonderful opportunities as possible. I also tried to teach their parents helpful resources both online and in the community so they could better their child's lives as well. I now work one-on-one with new teachers via the CDA program.

In 2012, I started to delve into film (tv, hand modeling, commercials, voice overs, industrials, print) full-time.

Part of being an artist also means keeping my body, mind, and spirit on point. I love using natural products and sharing what I know with others so they can become healthier both inside and out too! check out my “Wellness Blog” for more on that OR check out my “mari’s Pallets” tab to purchase a handmade decorative pallet board for your home or office space.

Thank you!
